  • TIME to RECONSIDER the THORNE-BEGLAND NOMINATION – Maybe It Can Be FIXED! the GOVERNOR or CHIEF JUDGE in 13th CIRCUIT Can Make It RIGHT! (2012/5/17)
I am sick over this whole thing with the judge candidate in Richmond.  Delegates I respect and admire greatly led the drive to keep Tracy Thorne-Begland off the General District Court.  I understand their reasons – the fear of judicial activism – that is not illegitimate BUT it is unlikely that a court NOT of record can have any meaningful impact on the laws of the Commonwealth.  But I am afraid it backfired.  Furthermore, it is not right to reject a judge solely because he or she is gay.  Tracy Thorne-Begland said he would not vote on gay-related issues.  I do not know him but trust him to be a good judge. I feared when I saw the Family Foundation email there might be an ugly scene and sure enough, I was right.  I do not believe all the opponents of Thorne-Begland were...
  • DONNA HOLT for NATIONAL COMMITTEEWOMAN to RNC From VIRGINIA! VOTE at the STATE CONVENTION! (2012/5/16)
Each state has the right to select three representatives to the Republican National Committee (Yes, the one that condemned and exposed Agenda 21!) and one must be a male and one must be female.  The female one is the National Committeewoman.  (I think the party chair also sits on the RNC.) I am pleased to announce that our very one Donna Holt (the one who fought Agenda 21, Sandy?  Yes that one !) is running for National Committeewoman.  We need to try our very best to be at the state convention (if an elected delegate of course) to vote Donna Holt to the RNC! Here is her letter: Dear Friends of Liberty, After a great deal of consideration and prayer, I am delighted to announce my candidacy for RNC National Committeewoman. Through my involvement in the Republican Party, I have come to ...
  • CONFIRMED: SIOUX FALLS (SD) Is OUT of ICLEI! (2012/5/14)
Tonja Dausand, an awesome liberty and sovereignty activist, behind enemy lines in California, reported to me this: Hi again, I spoke with Robert Kappel in Soux Falls (605) 367-8277. He told me that they have not renewed their memebership with ICLEI at this year for financial reasons but it’s possible they might. • RON PAUL Has Not QUIT His CAMPAIGN! LET’S Keep FIGHTING! LET’S NOT QUIT on HIM! (2012/5/14)
I did see the media reports about Ron Paul has suspended his campaign etc.  NOT TRUE!  Here’s what the email says: Our campaign will continue to work in the state convention process.  We will continue to take leadership positions, win delegates, and carry a strong message to the Republican National Convention that Liberty is the way of the future. Moving forward, however, we will no longer spend resources campaigning in primaries in states that have not yet voted.  Doing so with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have.  I encourage all supporters of Liberty to make sure you get to the polls and make your voices heard, particularly in the local, state, and Congressional elections, where so many defenders of Freedom are fighting and n...
  • TWEEDLEDEE and TWEEDLEDUM Ought to Fear! a TRANS-EUROPE ANTI-RACIST PIRATE PARTY! (2012/5/13)
While I am not completely happy with the Pirate Party movement, it is a step toward liberty.  It is good to read this blog from the Pirate’s one member of the European Parliament from Sweden:  Amelia Andersdotter: A few highlights: Prague declaration on Pirate Party Europe ratified Among the internationally significant decisions of the weekend was PP-DE’s ratification of the Prague declaration authored by pirates from all over the Europe at the Pirate Parties International Conference two weeks earlier. The signatories agree to include a common election program in their platforms for the EP elections in 2014, to coordinate their campaigns, and to establish a Pirate Party of Europe . The ratification was welcomed by guests from international Pirate Parties that attended the assemb...
  • CONFIRMED: 7.6% for PIRATES in Largest German State! THEY WILL HAVE SEATS in the State PARLIAMENT! (2012/5/13)
Led by Joachim PAUL, the Pirate Party, the somewhat libertarian German Pirate Party won 7.6% of the vote in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany’s California! The Pirates were dancing in the streets in a graffiti-smeared neighborhood near the central station as hundreds of the party’s young, laptop-toting followers crowded into a local disco called Zakk to dance the night away. Joachim Paul, captain of the crew and a biochemical engineer turned politician, took the stage and fired up the crowd, shouting into a sea of trademark orange Pirate flags: “The Pirates in North Rhine-Westphalia are in the state parliament! Tomorrow it’s on to the federal parliament!” Watch out Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the people might have choices!  At least a decent victory party! Arti...
  • EARLY REPORTS: GERMAN PIRATE PARTY Gets Into FOURTH (And Most Populous) GERMAN STATE! (2012/5/13)
This report has exit polling showing that the German Pirate Party won 7.5% of the vote in the largest state of Germany, North Rhine Westphalia! Unlike the City State of Berlin, and small states like the Saarland and Schweizig-Holstein, this is a major win for the new liberty party in Germany. The reporter here has five reasons for the rise of the Pirate Party.  Here’s number four: The fourth reason is the Piratenpartei ‘s early broadening of the party platform. In Sweden, we learned the hard way in 2010 that not enough people will vote a party with a narrow platform to the general parliament. The European parliament was fine, but not the Swedish one. While we were busy running an election campaign, the German pirate party were busy discussing if – and if so, how – their progr...
  • SIGNIFICANT RON PAUL DELEGATE VICTORIES in the OLD DOMINION! RESHAPING of the VIRGINIA GOP Through the STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE! (2012/5/13)
I have found this from the Daily Paul about the five district conventions held today in the First, Second, Third, Seventh and Eighth Congressional Districts and the word is surprisingly encouraging: Submitted by Virginian on Sat, 05/12/2012 – 18:26. • URGENT! Virginia REPUBLICANS Quietly Move to Appoint GAY ACTIVIST JUDGE to Virginia Court! (2012/5/13)
Say it ain’t so! The word I am getting is that Republicans in Richmond have made a deal with the devil – in this case Senator Donald McEachin – to allow a gay activist who wants to promote the radical gay agenda and will have no problem legislating from the bench – to a Virginia Court. The Democrats have only two potential weapons since they lost last November and are now facing a tie in the Senate. They can hold up the budget process as thy already have, and they can hold up the appointment of judges. The Lt. Governor Bill Bolling is unable to cast a tie-breaking vote in either instance. We have been unable to get the full details on this “deal” but it looks like Republicans are prepared to sell out Virginia’s family values. Who knows what they m...
  • E.W. Jackson Wins Va Senate Debate – Jamie Radtke Marginalizes Her Campaign as the Far Right Fringe Candidate (2012/5/13)
Once again, Bishop E.W. Jackson came away from a Virginia Republican US Senate debate as the winner. His overall performance was perhaps a bit less stellar than the Roanoke Debate, but that was most likely a function of the questions asked, which were so similar that it was not easy to answer without repeating yourself. But Jackson’s closing hit the ball out of the park as you can see in the video below. Jackson’s oratory skills and ability to connect with the audience are an amazing gift, but the substance of his remarks are substantial as is his understanding of the problems facing America today. George Allen turned in a solid performance with his focus on a positive message and clear understanding that defeating Tim Kaine is the ultimate goal of the Republican Party. As the...
  • Va Senate Debate Questions (2012/5/11)
The first two questions were dealing with helping small businesses grow and thrive. Jackson wants to get businesses out of the way. Allen has worked in small businesses and with them. He echoed the statements of Jackson about the regulations and red tape from local, state and federal government. Allen criticized Tim Kaine on his record of thwarting small businesses. Marshall enumerated several bills he authored that helped protect small businesses avoid unnecessary regulation. Radtke worked in small businesses and is a Mom. “We need a Mom in Washington.” She again attacked Allen and there was a moan from the audience. She accused Allen of taking money from Freddie and Fannie. Next question – what can be done to save Social Security? Radtke again attacks Allen for Fannie ...
  • PIRATE PARTY in GERMANY Enters a THIRD STATE PARLIAMENT: SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN! MAY DO WELL in FOURTH STATE (2012/5/11)
While the Greek Pirate Party only garnered about one half of one percent in the recent election, its counterpart in Germany is rolling right along, having won seats in a third state parliament:  The northern state of Schleswig-Holstein: Voters in the North German state of Schleswig-Holstein have chosen a new parliament. The Pirate Party has won seats for the first time, while the embattled Free Democrats have fared better than expected. After its success in Berlin and Saarland, the German Pirate Party – whose policies focus on freedom of information in the digital sphere – has managed to win seats in the northern state of Schleswig-Holstein. Following Sunday’s election, the Pirates walked away with over 8 percent of the votes. The Pirates essentially tied with the Free ...
  • Va Senate Debate Opening Remarks (2012/5/11)
Jamie Radtke opened the debate with her opening remarks and used most of the time to attack George Allen on his past votes and call for a smaller government. Bishop Jackson’s opening remarks focused on the job losses in Hampton Roads and the military status of the area. Jackson lamented the lack of coverage for his campaign from the local media. George Allen focused on small business and jobs. And the lack of jobs for young people. Allen envisions a better future through better policies that are pro growth. And he also mentioned his campaign cornerstone American Energy. Bob Marshall focused on his record of never voting for a tax increase and has never been endorsed by the Washington Post. Marshall filed a lawsuit to stop Tim Kaine’s illegal taxes – and won. Filed the He...

  • GREAT ARTICLE About GOVERNOR BOBBY JINDAL Here! JINDAL WOULD Make a GREAT VICE PRESIDENT! (2012/5/11)
Here is a very favorable article on Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal.  A few highlights: Members of the Louisiana press corps have learned over the years to ask the governor multiple questions at once, as the only way to avoid spending the better part of a press conference listening to his take on every nuance of a single topic. Even the briefest conversation with Jindal leaves no doubt that he is deeply knowledgeable and passionate about policy, but less immediately clear is whether he has the right stuff to take the next step in a national political environment in which attention spans are short. A state cabinet secretary at how old? A Rhodes scholar who helmed the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals — the state’s largest agency — at the almost absurd age of 24, P...
